Vesta is a Companion that the player can bring along on a run. They are exclusive to the Shademancers Tribe.

Strategy

Vesta's ability to double an entire row's Overburn.png Overburn makes them an excellent choice for any Overburn deck, especially since it allows them to double the Overburn of hard-to-reach backline enemies. If multiple enemies in the row have Overburn, doubling all their Overburn may cause cascading explosions, where an enemy exploding deals enough damage to cause other enemies to explode as well. This is especially relevant for the rare Shademancer Leaders that can inflict Overburn with innate Barrage, allowing Vesta to hit all the same cards. Vesta also has surprisingly good Health.png health and can take a few hits. However, like most doubling effects, Vesta is almost completely irrelevant outside an Overburn deck, although they can use debuff-inflicting Charms to take advantage of Barrage.

Anything that can give Vesta Frenzy.png Frenzy makes them exponentially more powerful, such as Krono.png Krono or Blaze Tea.png Blaze Tea. They are also form a potent combo with the Azul Candle.png Azul Candle, allowing even low Overburn stacks to ramp up considerably.

Trivia

  • Vesta is the only non-item card with an ability that can change its targeting mode, eg when Smog.png Smog overrides her Barrage with Aimless. This is due to the ability being coded as an Attack Effect, similar to Apply X effects.
