Firefist is a Companion that the player can bring along on a run. They are exclusive to the Snowdwellers Tribe.
Strategy
Firefist occupies a similar niche as Companions like 
Shen and 
Biji: a Companion who soaks up hits to grow stronger. However, Firefist is by far the most direct, dealing pure damage instead of inflicting debuffs. They also scale directly with the damage they take and thus get more value out of heavy hits than other similar Companions. With reliable healing, Firefist can quickly accumulate Spice and dish out serious damage. Their tradeoff is their slow Counter, though this can also be a blessing in disguise, offering more time to accumulate Spice for a single blow (particularly valuable if they can gain 
Frenzy). When paired with the 
Pepper Flag or 
Spice Stones, Firefist can output devastating amounts of damage.
Interactions
Firefist's ability activates when losing health for any reason, from any source. Direct attack damage is usually the most common way to lose health, but indirect sources like 
Shroom and direct health modification like the 
Nutshell Cake will also grant Spice.
