The Baker is a Companion that the player can bring along on a run. They are exclusive to the Shademancers Tribe.

Strategy

The Baker creates Skull Muffins that allow the player to sacrifice their own cards at any time, as the Muffins innately have Zoomlin and do not cost a turn to play. Since The Baker also has Spark, they can be repeatedly recalled and redeployed to bake more Muffins for more sacrifices. However, they do have a Counter, so they can also stay on the field to bake Skull Muffins over time (particularly since they have good base health to take hits). Muffin production is usually faster if The Baker stays on the field, but effects like the Sun Bell of Recall and 
Zoomlin Nest can make it better to repeatedly redeploy The Baker. Building around redeployment also allows The Baker to recover health with each recall, making them an even better fit for a frontline role.
Since The Baker creates Skull Muffins on trigger, giving them 
Frenzy will create multiple times as many Skull Muffins. Similarly, their baking effect is a numerical effect and can be boosted by sources such as 
Lupa and the 
Lumin Ring. While having an extreme excess of sacrifice is normally not useful, it does allow the player to repeatedly sacrifice 
Snuffer to grant huge amounts of attack.
