Makoko is an enemy which the player can encounter during a run. It appears in the fight with The Spice Mokos and in the Eye of the Storm.

Strategy

Makokos start out unassuming but can quickly increase their attack, which is especially dangerous due to their Counter of just 1 that allows them to attack every turn. The window of opportunity before Makokos become dangerous is short, but still enough time to deal some good damage to them.

Since Makokos start out with no attack, they can be punished by on-hit effects like Teeth and Smackback, or the player can take advantage of them to use the effects of cards like Tiny Tyko, Roibos, and Shen.

Trivia

Makoko is tied with Plinker for the lowest base Counter among all cards.
