Azul Battle Axe is an item players may accumulate over a run. This card is exclusive to the Shademancers Tribe.
Strategy
The Azul Battle Axe is a highly effective offensive card, fulfilling the dual role of inflicting Overburn and damaging the target to bring it closer to exploding. Enemies with low 
health can be defeated very quickly, as it effectively inflicts 6 total damage on the target (3 direct damage and 3 from Overburn), with the potential for the Overburn to deal 3 damage to up to 2 other enemies. Even outside a dedicated Overburn deck, the Azul Battle Axe is a very solid choice for a damage-dealing card. Since the amount of Overburn inflicted is equal to the damage dealt, it also scales twice as well with attack boosts like the 
Battle Charm.
If the Azul Battle Axe hits an enemy that has 
Scrap or 
Block, the Overburn inflicted is the amount that would have been dealt if the enemy did not have Scrap or Block. For instance, hitting a 
Spike Wall that has 
Demonize will inflict 6 Overburn, even though the effective damage dealt was 1 Scrap. This makes the Azul Battle Axe a fantastic card for breaking down enemy Clunkers. Clunkers immediately explode when inflicted with any amount of Overburn, since they have no health, so the Azul Battle Axe takes 2 Scrap off in one play and deals splash damage on top of it.
