Vesta is a Companion that the player can bring along on a run. They are exclusive to the Shademancers Tribe.
Strategy
Vesta's ability to double an entire row's Overburn makes them an excellent choice for any Overburn deck, especially since it allows them to double the Overburn of hard-to-reach backline enemies. If multiple enemies in the row have Overburn, doubling all their Overburn may cause cascading explosions, where an enemy exploding deals enough damage to cause other enemies to explode as well. This is especially relevant for the rare Shademancer Leaders that can inflict Overburn with innate Barrage, allowing Vesta to hit all the same cards. Vesta also has surprisingly good health and can take a few hits. Like other doubling effects, Vesta is significantly less relevant outside an Overburn deck, but they can also use debuff-inflicting Charms or attack boosts to take advantage of Barrage.
Anything that can give Vesta 
Frenzy makes them exponentially more powerful, such as 
Krono or 
Blaze Tea. They also form a potent combo with the 
Azul Candle, allowing even low Overburn stacks to ramp up considerably.
Trivia
- Vesta is the only non-Item card with an ability that isn't an apply-on-hit ability but that can change its targeting mode, such as when
Smog overrides Barrage with Aimless. This is because Vesta's effect is internally coded the same way as an ability that applies a status on hit. - Vesta's Steam trading card uses the name "Meiling." This was likely a working name in development, but is notably also different from Vesta's internal name in the final game ("Flash").
