Toaster is a Companion that the player can bring along on a run. They are exclusive to the Clunkmasters Tribe.

Strategy
Toaster can deal good Frenzy damage on a fast Counter and has enough health to take several hits, but they make it so that all Items in hand gain Consume, destroying each one when played. At first, this may appear to be a strict downside, but the Clunkmasters have multiple card-destruction synergies, such as 
Kreggo, 
Nom & Stompy, and 
Blundertank. Toaster is especially useful if the player has any cards that incentivize them to play 
Junk, such as 
Tinkerson Jr. or 
Mini Mika, preventing Junk from piling up.
In order to keep cards from being Consumed, the player must recall Toaster before playing those cards. Having the Sun Bell of Recall can help draw Toaster faster to redeploy, and the 
Zoomlin Nest gives them Zoomlin to be redeployed for free. However, Consume is only relevant if the fight goes on long enough to reshuffle the discard pile into the deck, so ending the fight quickly will also remove the downside of Consuming cards. Toaster's strong offensive potential allows them to bring battles to a close significantly faster (especially if their attack is buffed).
The 
Forging Stove is particularly strong with Toaster when using Crowns to deploy them at the beginning of battle. The Forging Stove gives Toaster a burst of attack, and Toaster Consumes the Forging Stove so that it doesn't show up later in the battle when it would be unreliable.
Since Toaster allows the player to Consume all Items in hand whenever they please, they can be useful for setting up cards with Critical outside the Crown phase by playing and Consuming all cards to the right of the Critical card.
