Hazeblazer is a Companion that the player can bring along on a run. They are exclusive to the Clunkmasters Tribe.

Strategy

Hazeblazer is the only source of unconditional and repeatable Haze, as all other sources have their own caveats: the Foggy Brew is Aimless and single-use, the Haze Keg has Recycle 2, and the Haze Balloon is single-use and doubles the inflicted enemy's attack. However, Hazeblazer themself has the restriction of hurting themself each time they trigger. It isn't the most severe amount of damage, but it adds up and prevents Hazeblazer from fulfilling a defensive role. This self-inflicted damage also does not count as them hitting themself, so the Heartmist Station will not activate to heal it. To keep Hazeblazer out on the field as long as possible, bring along healing such as Booshu or Bonnie to patch them up after each attack.

The Lumin Ring doubles the amount of Haze inflicted while only increasing Hazeblazer's self-inflicted damage by 1 point, a very worthwhile trade. The Gachapomper lets them make the most of each attack by granting Barrage to hit a whole row. Using Counter-reducing effects like the Sun Charm or Suncream can be powerful, but Hazeblazer triggering faster will also make them hurt themself more often.

Challenge Bells

The Gloom Bell has a limited pool of Cursed Charms it can apply to Hazeblazer. They can only be afflicted by the Frozen Sun Charm, Fish Charm, Demon Eye Charm, and Ooba Charm.
