Haze
Haze is a debuff applied by some Clunkmaster cards. A card afflicted with Haze is forced to attack one of its allies, instead of attacking normally. Haze counts down whenever the affected card triggers.
Information and Strategy
Haze is an effect exclusive to the Clunkmaster tribe. It is a very rare debuff but can be extremely disruptive and powerful in the right situation. Enemies that are the best to inflict Haze on are those that deal a lot of damage, have long Counters, or inflict debuffs. Against most enemies, 1 Haze is roughly equivalent to inflicting Snow equal to the target's Counter, since their next attack is wasted. Remember that a Hazed enemy will still use its abilities when triggering, however.
When facing enemies with Haze, it is crucial to work around it to avoid both wasting attacks and hurting allies. Cards with no attack icon (i.e. that don't attack when triggering, such as Bonnie) are completely unaffected by Haze. It will count down when they trigger, but it won't do anything, so use these cards to block attacks that inflict Haze. Alternatively, simply recall any cards that become inflicted with Haze.
Haze is extraordinarily powerful when stacked, as it will force the victim to waste multiple attacks in a row. Against an enemy with a long Counter, even just 2 Haze can buy 10 turns or more. This makes Lumin and the Lumin Ring exceedingly valuable for Haze-inflicting cards (although the Haze Keg's Recycle cost will also be increased).
Haze Interactions
Haze counts down for each individual trigger if a card has Frenzy. For instance, if Foxee is inflicted with 1 Haze, their first attack will hit an ally but the other two attacks will not.
If a Hazed card has Barrage, it will attack an entire random allied row, instead of a single other ally. If the card happens to attack the row it occupies, it will hit itself as well.
Some cards have Reactions that gives them special targeting. If such a card is Hazed, it can no longer trigger against its Reaction's specific target, but it will still trigger and hit an ally if its Reaction's conditions are met. For instance, if a Hazed card with Smackback is hit by an enemy, it will trigger against a random ally, not the enemy that hit it.
Although bosses that take up 2 zones (such as Infernoko and Bamboozle) can hit both rows when attacking, they will only hit a single allied card when Hazed.
If Krunker is afflicted with Haze, it will randomly attack an ally and hit all zones targeted by Bombard when triggering.
