Acquisition
The Naked Gnome has a chance to appear in the first battle of a run (The Pengoons, The Snowbo Squad, The Snow Lumps, or The Bog Berries). If the battle is won with the Naked Gnome still alive, it will offer to join the player after the battle.
Strategy
The Naked Gnome has no natural defensive or offensive capabilities, with just a single point of health and attack. However, its rare Counter of just 2 makes it attack very quickly. With the right Charms, the Naked Gnome can become a powerful card. Sun Charm and Sunglass Charm in particular are incredibly potent, allowing the Naked Gnome to attack every single turn.
Trivia
- The allied Naked Gnome is one of only two player cards that have no text box at all (the other being Foxee), as even cards with no effects like Woodhead and Junk have flavor text.
- Similarly, the enemy Naked Gnome is the only enemy card with flavor text.
- It also shares this flavor text with Junk and Gunk Fruit, although the latter's flavor text is not visible unless it has the Durian Charm.
- The enemy Naked Gnome is the only enemy with no stats besides health, not counting Shades summoned to the enemy field ( Sheepopper and Pom).
- Naked Gnome was one of the first cards created in the game's development[1]
