Sunglass Charm is a Charm that the player can collect on a run.

Unlock

Defeat a boss without applying Snow.png Snow to them.

Strategy

The Sunglass Charm massively reduces the attached card's Counter.png Counter, at the cost of almost all of its Health.png health. Since Fragile prevents the card's maximum health from being increased in battle, it will die to any damage from any source, unless it is given Shell.png Shell or Block.png Block or upgraded with health-increasing Charms (or the Sun Bell of Health, for Leaders). Offensive Companions tend to have poor base health to begin with, so they can usually freely equip the Sunglass Charm and attack twice as quickly in exchange.

Interactions

Even if a card's maximum health is already 1 (such as the Naked Gnome.png Naked Gnome or a card with the Frozen Heart Charm.pngFrozen Heart Charm), it can still have the Sunglass Charm attached.

Halving effects always round up, so if the card's Counter is an odd number, the Sunglass Charm will be less effective (for instance, a Counter of 3 becomes 2).

Although the Fragile ability makes the card unaffected by health increases during battle, it does not make it an invalid target for health-boosting effects (as opposed to Clunkers, which are invalid targets because they have no health at all). This means that if health is boosted randomly, such as by Berry Sis.png Berry Sis or an Aimless Item, the Fragile card may completely waste the health boost.

Monch.png Monch's health gain upon eating allies is not affected by Fragile, and Monch will gain health regardless. This is likely a bug.

Trivia

The Sunglass Charm is the only Charm with a transparent texture. As a result, it is not fully blacked out in the Journal while undiscovered.
