Any deck that benefits from sacrifices cannot ignore Chikichi. While they are easy to kill, their strength is in the summoned versions who gain more and more health and damage. But players must watch to make sure they are sacrificed, either through an item or an ally, or it will not summon a new version. If an enemy defeats them, the chain will be broken.
Chikichi is a must-have for any sacrifice deck, as it can summon new cards to sacrifice without any effort, whereas using a summoning item like the Junjun Mask would require a turn. On top of this, each summoned Shade is progressively stronger than the last. However, Chikichi requires protection, as it and its Shades will only summon their next incarnation if sacrificed by an Item or allied Companion. If Chikichi or any of its Shades is killed by an enemy or non-allied source of damage, the next Shade will not be summoned. Don't be too hasty with sacrificing each Shade, however, as each one will have full health when summoned (and more base health than the last). Having the Shades block a few hits gets even more value out of them and makes them easier to sacrifice.

If the Bell of Death is active, Chikichi will almost always be injured and have 1 health and attack. This makes it even more fragile, although this does make it easier to sacrifice as well.

Since Chikichi itself is a weak card and its Shades are its power, almost no Charms are useful for it. Even the summon-focused Lamb Charm is unhelpful, as only Chikichi will gain Faith and thus only Chikani will be boosted.

Chikichi's Shades all have the Summoned ability, which causes them to lose 1 health at the end of the turn if they trigger. If they die in this way, it does not count as them being sacrificed, breaking the chain.

Each stage's name is based on the Japanese words for the number of heads that they have: Chikichi (いち ichi), Chikani (に ni), Chikasan (さん san), Chikashi (し shi) and Chikagoru (ご go).

It is also wise to consider that, if used as a sacrificial card, Chikichi will almost always be injured and have a single health and damage. This makes them even more fragile, which may be a benefit if their purpose is to be sacrificed.

Chikichi is a Companion that the player can bring along on a run. It is exclusive to the Shademancers Tribe.

Whenever Chikichi is sacrificed, it summons a slightly stronger Shade in its place. When that Shade is sacrificed, it summons an even stronger Shade. The chain culminates in the five-headed Chikagoru, whose Attack.png attack and Health.png health are 5 times greater than Chikichi's.

The stages of Chikichi includes the following:

 1. Chikichi, a 2/2
 2. Chikani, a 4/4
 3. Chikasan, a 6/6
 4. Chikashi, an 8/8
 5. Chikagoru, a 10/10

Strategy

Chikichi is a must-have for any sacrifice deck, as it can summon new cards to sacrifice without any effort, whereas using a summoning item like the Junjun Mask would require a turn. On top of this, each summoned Shade is progressively stronger than the last. However, Chikichi requires protection, as it and its Shades will only summon their next incarnation if sacrificed by an Item or allied Companion. If Chikichi or any of its Shades is killed by an enemy or non-allied source of damage, the next Shade will not be summoned. Don't be too hasty with sacrificing each Shade, however, as each one will have full Health.png health when summoned (and more base health than the last).

Even the summon-focused Lamb Charm.pngLamb Charm is unhelpful, as only Chikichi will gain Faith and thus only Chikani will be boosted.

Chikichi's Shades all have the Summoned ability, which causes them to lose 1 health at the end of the turn if they trigger. If they die in this way, it does not count as them being sacrificed, breaking the chain.

Trivia

Each stage's name is based on the Japanese words for the number of heads that they have: Chikichi (いち ichi), Chikani (に ni), Chikasan (さん san), Chikashi (し shi) and Chikagoru (ご go).
