Card Description | ||
When an ally is Sacrificed, gain their Attack |
Devicro is a Companion that the player can bring along on a run. They are exclusive to the Shademancers Tribe.
Strategy
Although it may be tempting to sacrifice allies quickly to pump up Devicro's attack, most Shades don't have particularly high attack (and the ones that do are best left on the field to keep attacking). Instead, Devicro's main use is to add a bit more value to cards that sacrifice allies. However, even weak Shades can still block attacks, so the benefits of sacrificing a Shade may be outweighed by those of keeping it alive depending on the situation.
Since Devicro doesn't get the most value out of sacrifice, they are best paired with other sacrifice-oriented cards like Monch and Groff, making each sacrifice multiple times more useful. Chikichi is particularly noteworthy, as all their summoned Shades will give Devicro a massive attack boost. Devicro also gets to double-dip the attack boost from the Skullmist Tea, gaining attack from the Tea and their own ability.
The Bonescraper treats any card killed with it as though it was sacrificed on the player’s field. If the player uses it to kill an enemy with high attack, Devicro will gain that much attack as well. Depending on the fight, this can be a huge boost in damage, particularly if there are enemies that can gain attack.
