Card Description
When hit, boost the effects of a random ally and enemy by 1

Lupa is a Companion that the player can bring along on a run.

Strategy

Lupa has a similar effect to the Lumin Lantern.png Lumin Lantern, but much more repeatable, as it activates any time they are hit by anything. They are also not exclusive to any Tribe, while the Lumin Lantern is restricted to the Clunkmasters. Most of the same strategies still apply, however. Try to have as few boostable effects as possible on the allied side so that Lupa can consistently boost one or two cards' effects, and be prepared with Snow.png Snow or Ink.png Ink to neutralize problematic enemies. Cards with effects balanced around low values are especially powerful to boost, such as Tiny Tyko.png Tiny Tyko, Nom & Stompy.png Nom & Stompy, and the Heartmist Station.png Heartmist Station. Among the Shademancers specifically, the Shades Leech.png Leech and Sheepopper.png Sheepopper are summoned to the enemy field and have effects that can be boosted, making them even more effective and potentially preventing other enemies from being boosted.

Numerical effects that can be modified are written in orange. For instance, Biji.png Biji has "Apply 3 Bom.png Bom" and "Increase by 1 when hit." Since only the first effect has an orange number, Lupa will only boost the base amount of Bom inflicted, not the amount of Bom gained when hit.

Using the Blank Mask.png Blank Mask or Mime Charm.pngMime Charm, it is possible to have multiple copies of Lupa on the field (or multiple cards with Lupa's effect). Lupa's effect can be boosted, so multiple Lupas may boost each other and cause effects on both sides of the field to increase out of control.
