Octobom is an enemy which the player can encounter during a run. It appears in the fight with The Ink Sacks.
Strategy
Destroying Octoboms at the right moment is crucial to cleanly winning the fight with The Ink Sacks, as they Ink the entire field at once. While this does affect player cards, it prevents other enemies from inflicting even more Ink, which is usually a worthwhile tradeoff. 
Octako and 
Kraken also have a lot of 
health on top of their problematic effects, so Inking them can make the fight go significantly smoother. If it's possible to defeat those enemies quickly, however, it may be worth leaving Octoboms alone to keep the team's effects active.
