Extra Information
Pombomb affects any card that is at full Health. So, removing Shell or Scrap will not stop Pombomb from working.
Strategy
Placing charms on Pombomb can allow you to apply status affects to many enemies at once. Frenzy typically does not work well on Pombomb, because its targets are re-calculated after each hit.
