The Hot Spring is a location that can be built in Snowdwell. It is the fourth structure in the town, beginning construction once the Inventor's Hut has been constructed, and is found above the Tribe Hall on the middle-left cliff of town. Once constructed, the player can complete challenges to unlock a total of 6 new Companions.
Erena runs the Hot Springs, and claims that people from all over the land are attracted to the soothing effects of the spring water.

The Hot Spring is where players can unlock up to six new Companions. Once unlocked, each of these Companions may be found in any future run. Notably, 
Snobble, 
Jumbo, and
