Overburn is a debuff applied by some Shademancer cards. When a card on the field has more Overburn than health, it immediately explodes, dealing damage equal to its Overburn to itself and all its allied cards in that row.
Information and Strategy
Overburn is an effect exclusive to the Shademancer tribe.
Clunkers have no health (having Scrap instead), so if a Clunker becomes afflicted by Overburn it will immediately explode. The damage dealt to its allies will be equal to the Overburn stacks, but the Clunker itself will lose 1 Scrap. If a card survives its own Overburn explosion (due to Shell, Block, or Scrap), the Overburn is removed after it explodes.
Checking if a card should explode from its Overburn is a high-priority action. It is checked between Frenzy attacks and before Reactions trigger.
