The Beetle Charm's value comes from its unique ability to not take up a Charm slot on the attached card. 1 point of {{Stat|attack}} is a very small buff, but cards with {{Keyword|Barrage}} or {{Stat|Frenzy}} can get multiple times as much value. These cards are also likely going to be upgraded with multiple Charms, so the Beetle Charm being a completely free buff is very useful.

A very powerful use for the Beetle Charm is to make a card eligible for the {{Charm|Moko Charm}} and {{Charm|Pomegranate Charm}}, since these can only be attached to a card with at least 1 or 2 base attack, respectively. Attaching the Beetle Charm allows a card to use these powerful Charms without using up an extra Charm slot just to make them eligible.

A card that already has all its Charm slots occupied can still have the Beetle Charm added as well.
