Frost is a debuff applied by some cards. It decreases the affected card's attack. After the card attacks, all its Frost is cleared.
Information and Strategy
Frost is a fairly uncommon status that weakens a card's next attack. Since it clears after a single attack, it is less effective on cards with low Counters, as these cards can attack again quickly after attacking to clear their Frost. However, it persists throughout a full set of Frenzy attacks, drastically weakening the affected card. One of the key uses of Frost is to decrease an enemy's attack to 0 or less, which allows a card with Block to take a hit without losing Block, or a Clunker to take a hit without losing any Scrap.
Frost Interactions
Spice increases the affected card's attack until its next attack. If a card has both Spice and Frost, they are added together. If the card also attacks a card with Bom, that extra damage is summed as well. For instance, a card with 2 attack, 2 Spice, and 5 Frost has a net attack of -1. If that card hits an enemy with 3 Bom, it will deal 2 damage.
Frost and Spice are removed at the same time when a card finishes attacking, with one specific exception. A card that has gained Frost as the result of its own attack (such as by hitting The Ringer) will only lose the Frost it already had before it began attacking. Any Frost gained due to its attack will persist until it next triggers and attacks. This is not the case with Spice; a card that gains Spice as the result of its attack (such as by hitting King Moko) will lose all its Spice once it finishes attacking, including any newly-gotten Spice. This interaction is particularly important for cards with Frenzy, as Spice and Frost are multiple times as important for these cards.

Trivia
- Although cards without attack cannot be affected by Spice, they can still be affected by Frost. The Frost does not impact their effects, however.
- This is valuable in the fight with The Frost Shades, as The Ringer may randomly inflict Frost on a card with no attack, thus wasting its Frost.
